Goal: Establish a data infrastructure (Data Mesh architecture) in the field of prototype and model construction that meets the specific dynamic requirements of this area and allows for high synergies with existing structures. Approach: Conceptualization and development of a corresponding Data Mesh architecture in close coordination with domain experts, ensuring maximum synergies with existing structures. Results: We successfully implemented a tailored data infrastructure that precisely meets the requirements of the area and the entire company. The infrastructure and the AI applications built on it have been closely managed and further developed by us in collaboration (DevOps and MLOps).

Goal: Centralize company data from all areas and make it usable for various questions and use cases for decision-makers. Approach: In close collaboration with Villeroy & Boch experts, conceptualize and implement a cloud-based and high-performance data infrastructure (Data Lake) with a tailored technology stack — incorporating modern IT security and governance standards. Results: Based on the Data Lake, AI flagship projects with direct and high value for the company were realized. Villeroy & Boch now has a data infrastructure that enables the rapid and effective implementation of valuable use cases for departments and top management. The flagship projects have demonstrated the potential of effective data use throughout the company, encouraging departments to implement data-driven use cases progressively. Since then, we have been managing and further developing the Data Lake and AI applications in close collaboration, resulting in additional useful applications.

Digital Product
Goal: As part of the digital future strategy, Sparda-Bank aims to expand its service portfolio with a technically innovative and easy-to-use digital product. Approach: Support the Sparda-Bank project team in the detailed planning and conceptualization of the product, as well as in the necessary technical coordination with the core banking system provider. Numerous feasibility studies (Proof-of-Concept) were conducted, particularly to ensure the technical feasibility of critical aspects and to estimate their implementation effort early on. Results: We were able to provide a solid foundation for an effective and planned implementation for all parties involved.

Web Application
Goal:
For the cryptocurrency Nimiq, a service was to be created allowing users to stake their coins. Central requirements included users retaining full control, ruling out traditional pooling strategies.
Approach:
A web application was developed allowing users to create and operate their own validators with a few clicks. These validators are small servers that perform staking operationally, i.e., creating blocks for the Nimiq blockchain and being rewarded with coins.
Results:
In close collaboration with the Nimiq team, staqe.io was created, the first staking service for Nimiq. The consistent use of modern cryptographic methods allows us to operate validator nodes for our users without access to their coins. The open-source application based on Kubernetes has been online since 2023 and is operated and further developed by us.

Digital Product
Goal: Introduce a cloud-based solution for the data protection of websites and web shops to the market. Approach: Develop GDPR-BOX in collaboration with legal experts specializing in data protection and IT law. Results: The product is based on modern AI-supported web crawling and analysis methods, capable of automatically capturing privacy-relevant features of a website. As a result, users receive relevant legal texts and cookie consent tooling. All relevant components can be easily integrated into a website and update automatically as content on the website or legal frameworks change. GDPR-Box is currently distributed in cooperation with website-check.de (Germany) and legally-ok.com (Switzerland), with whom a longstanding and trusted partnership exists.
